In the Hospital…

I’ve been battling a horrible headache for the past 5-6 days.  My daughter took me to the emergency room of one of our local hospitals a couple of nights ago and after sitting in the waiting room for 6 1/2 hours I gave up and went home.  Today the headache was even worse and I started having chest pains so off to the emergency room of the other hospital in town we went.  After waiting just a short time I was triaged and taken to a room in the emergency department.

After getting to my room I was immediately placed on monitoring machines and they attempted to insert and IV and take blood.  After numerous attempts at trying to do both and using a vein finder and an ultrasound machine (neither of them helped locate a vein) they were finally able to insert the IV in my foot!

After several hours in the emergency room they decided that they were going to keep me and do some testing on my heart. So, I’m here for the night since they are going to do a stress test in the morning and go from there when it comes to my heart.  As for the headache that’s been going on forever, they have been giving me migraine meds which aren’t helping and they are calling in a neurologist in the morning for a consultation in the morning.

I’m not sure how the next few days are going to play out but once I get to feeling 100% better the blog will be back up and running at full speed!  I am so sorry for not posting any recipes or products reviews the past few weeks. Thank you so much for your love and understanding.
